my son Olive Jackson Ostila was born with gastroschisis and thus spent quite a bit of time from birth in the neonatal intensive care unit in the hospital. me and my partner did not leave his side except for short breaks for necessities. we saw all sorts of things but the saddest thing was the day a little boy in the ward had all his family there to say goodbye. his name was ANGUS.
