my friend Alf is a great gardener and entered his 76 kg pumpkin in the local show. he said the winning pumpkin was 108 kg. this number fascinates me on many levels, so i got thinking how to make a rhythm and a song out of it. it's basically a 27 beat groove that is broken down like this-5 7 7 8. the ti-hi is 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 6 6 6 9 9 9 6 6 6 4 4 4 (9 rest) times 3, with no rest on the last time. it happens twice.
