about

when we were recording with Osmosis in the Broodbox late one night, we heard a kookaburra laughing and cackling for a moment between playback and doing another take. this song is a number groove inspired by Greg Sheehan's number patterns, and is 7 7 7 7 4, which equals 32, which is 2 bars of 4/4. this rhythm pattern seems to suit 'Yulunga' which is the beautiful community out in the Border Ranges where i was allowed the time and space to explore rhythm and change my approach to music. life marches on a bit like the song.
